The Group

Permata Group was founded in 2011 by our current CEO, Captain Mohammad bin Yunos. The company was incorporated in Bintulu (Sarawak, Malaysia), the hub of maritime in Sarawak. Currently, the company main subsidiaries is Permata Maritime Training Centre Sdn Bhd (PMTC) which provide exclusive and professional maritime training services and certification. Compliment to PMTC, Permata Group is also providing Onshore & Offshore Man Power Supply, Offshore Supply Vessel, Transportation, Budget Hotel, Food & Material Supplier, Restaurant & Catering services, and Karokee & Tent rental services. 

 

 

Our main headquarter is located in the hub of a growing commercial centre in Assyakirin Commercial Square Bintulu. We strive to continuously provide exceptional services and ensure our highest commitment to our clients.

PMTCSB Team

Captain Mohammad bin Yunos has more than 35 years' of experience in maritime industry. Before joining as a seafarer he was working with Forestry Department of sarawak in Bintulu. In 1980 he joined a shipping company by the name of Marine Services Ltd in Kuala Bealit, Brunei. By that time he was only as A.B(Able Body Seaman) on offshore supply vessel. The vessel was chartered to Brunei Shell Petroleum carrying general cargoes and offshore structures.

 

At 1985 after completed fives sea services he set for his officer competency license which he passed the deck Marine Department certification. Two years later i.e 1987 having sea time as Chief Officers for two years he once again passed and was issued the Master certication by Marine Department of Sarawak. 

 

To search for experience to sailed in foreign going vessels under Malaysia International Shiiping Company, Yayasan and Kinabalu Sabah. He joined as Bosun for two years prying over to Japan, Papua New Guiene and most asean water. 

 

In 1990 he went joined Borcos Shipping chartered to Sarawak Shell Berhad and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company. He command various kind of vessels like standby, supply, fast crew boat and work boat Merdeka 1.

 

From 1994 to 1996 he joined Lamnalco Shipping on board Lamnalco Snipe and Steel at Sarjah, Karfakan, United Arab Emirates. He was appointed as Chief Officers on this foreign going vessel operation in Oil and Gass Field.

 

He joined Sarawak Marine Departmentin kuching working as Ship Pilot at Area One i.e from Muara Tebas to Kuching for two years. He stat woeking as  form 1996 to 1998. From 1998 to 2000 he was also working at Pilot at Area three i.e from Kuala Rejang to Sarikei/Bintangor.
